Intro

Verse 1

I lived, Heart on a wire
Hand in the fire for so long
But You've shown me better
A new kind of love
It's ever the one, I want

Pre-Chorus

I'm lifting you higher, higher
There's nothing that I'd rather do
A sweet elevation of praises
There's no one I love more than You

Chorus

I never knew a-
Love like this before
The kind of life that
I cannot find on my own
I've seen the world but I have
Never been so sure
That I want Your
Heart,

Refrain

God I just want to be where You
are
Where You are
I just want to be where
You are

Verse 2

Your love, like nothing I've seen
My wildest of dreams
don't come close
Life never no better
than living like this
I cannot resist You Lord

Bridge

And after all this time
with You by my side
I can't imagine what it'd
be like on my own
I've made up my heart
this love is all I've got
And You're the only one
I know worth living for

Where You Are - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We all have moments in our lives when we feel like we are living on a wire, with our hand in the fire. We feel like we are struggling and searching for something more. But God has shown us a better way, a new kind of love. A love that is ever the one we want.

Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” God’s love is like nothing we have ever seen before. It is better than our wildest dreams. We can’t resist His love and grace.

The chorus of the song says, “I never knew a love like this before. The kind of life that I cannot find on my own.” We can’t find this kind of life on our own. We need God’s love and grace to guide us.

John 15:5 says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” We need to remain in God’s love and grace in order to bear fruit.

The refrain of the song says, “God I just want to be where You are. I just want to be where You are.” We all want to be in God’s presence. We want to be in the place where He is.

Psalm 27:4 says, “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” We all want to be in the presence of God and to seek Him in His temple.

Where You Are by Hillsong Young & Free is a reminder that God’s love is ever the one we want. We need to remain in His love and grace in order to bear fruit. We all want to be in the presence of God and to seek Him in His temple.
