Stand In Your Love - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]
We all face times of darkness, sorrow, brokenness, and pain. It can be hard to stay strong and not be shaken by these difficult times. But when we stand in God’s love, our fear doesn’t stand a chance.
The Bible tells us in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” No matter what we face, God’s love is always there for us.
We can also find freedom from shame and lies when we stand in God’s love. In Isaiah 61:7, it says, “Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy.” When we stand in God’s love, we can find joy and freedom from shame.
Finally, the bridge of the song reminds us of the power of God’s name. In Philippians 2:9-11, it says, “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” When we stand in the power of God’s name, we can find strength and courage to face any situation.
No matter what we face, we can stand in God’s love and find freedom, joy, and strength. When we stand in His love, our fear doesn’t stand a chance.
