It Is So - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We all have moments of fear and failure, but we can take comfort in the promise of God’s love and healing. In the song “It Is So” by Elevation Worship, we are reminded that even our worst mistakes can be used for good. The chorus says “By Your stripes I am healed, with one touch I am made whole. You have spoken and I know that it is so.” This is a reference to Isaiah 53:5 which says “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” We can take comfort in knowing that no matter what we have done, God’s love and grace is enough to heal us and make us whole.

The bridge of the song also reminds us that God’s Word is settled in Heaven and His will will be done. This is a reference to Matthew 6:10 which says “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” We can trust that God’s will will be done and that He will never leave us.

No matter what we are going through, we can take comfort in knowing that God’s love and grace is enough to heal us and make us whole. We can trust that His Word is settled in Heaven and His will will be done. We can take courage in knowing that God has spoken and we can trust that it is so.
