Verse 1

It's the mystery
Of this hope in me
How You hold the stars
Yet You hold my heart
One who's first and last
Wiped away my past
Perfect royalty
made His home in me

Chorus

To the One who holds the stars
We lift You higher we lift You higher
To the One the holds my heart
There is no other there is no other
like you

Verse 2

King of endless life
Yet You chose to die
On a sinners tree
Exposed for me
With one final breath
It is finished
Stormed the gates of hell
Ripping through the veil

To the One who overcame
We lift You higher we lift You higher
To the Name above all names
there is no other there is no other

To The One - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We lift our voices in praise to the One who holds the stars and our hearts. In the song “To The One” by UPPERROOM, we are reminded of the mystery of the hope that is found in Jesus. He is the One who is first and last, who wiped away our past and made His home in us.

The Bible tells us in Isaiah 9:6, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Jesus is the King of endless life who chose to die on a sinner’s tree and with one final breath declared “It is finished.” He stormed the gates of hell and ripped through the veil, conquering death and giving us hope.

We magnify His life and crown Him King of Kings. Jesus is our perfect sacrifice, beautiful and worthy of all praise. He is our hope and our salvation. We can trust in Him alone.

Let us lift our voices in praise to the One who holds the stars and our hearts. To the One who overcame, to the Name above all names, to Jesus Christ our perfect sacrifice.

Amen.
