Fresh Wind - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

In Fresh Wind, Hillsong Worship calls us to seek the Holy Spirit and to ask for a fresh wind of revival. The lyrics remind us of the power of the Holy Spirit and how it can bring about transformation in our lives.

The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit is like a rushing wind (Acts 2:2). It is a powerful force that can bring about change and renewal in our lives. We can ask for the Holy Spirit to come and fill us with His presence and power.

The lyrics also remind us of the power of repentance. We can turn away from our sins and ask for God’s forgiveness. He will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We can also ask for the Holy Spirit to help us to live a life of holiness and purity.

The song also speaks of the power of the Refiner’s fire. This is a metaphor for the purifying power of the Holy Spirit. He will purify us and strengthen us in our faith and deeds (Malachi 3:2-3).

Finally, the song calls us to be a light to the world. We can be a city on a hill, shining brightly for all to see (Matthew 5:14). We can be a beacon of hope and a witness to the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let us pray for a fresh wind of revival to come and fill us with the power of the Holy Spirit. May we be filled with His presence and power and be a light to the world. Amen.
