Chorus 1

Praise the Lord
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness
New every morn
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

Interlude 1

Verse 1

What love could remember
No wrongs we have done
Omniscient all knowing
He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without
Bottom or shore
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

Verse 2

What patience would wait
As we constantly roam
What Father so tender
Is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest
The vilest the poor
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

Verse 3

What riches of kindness
He lavished on us
His blood was the payment
His life was the cost
We stood 'neath a debt
We could never afford
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

Chorus 2

Praise the Lord
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness
New every morn
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

Chorus 3

Praise the Lord
His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness
New every morn
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more
Our sins they are many
His mercy is more

His Mercy Is More - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We are all sinners, and our sins are many. But praise the Lord, His mercy is more! His mercy is stronger than darkness, and new every morning.

The Bible tells us in Lamentations 3:22-23, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

What love could remember all the wrongs we have done? The answer is God’s love. He is omniscient and all-knowing, yet He counts not our sins. He throws us into a sea without bottom or shore, yet His mercy is more.

What patience would wait as we constantly roam? God’s patience is infinite. He is calling us home, welcoming the weakest, the vilest, and the poor. Our sins they are many, but His mercy is more.

What riches of kindness has He lavished on us? His blood was the payment, and His life was the cost. We stood beneath a debt we could never afford, but our sins they are many, and His mercy is more.

Let us praise the Lord for His mercy is more! His mercy is stronger than darkness, and new every morning. Our sins they are many, but His mercy is more.

Amen.
