Breathe On Us - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

The song “Breathe On Us” by Kari Jobe is a powerful reminder of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The lyrics speak of a shaking and trembling that comes with revival, and the sound of worship that is so great and glorious. The chorus calls out to the Holy Spirit to “breathe on us” and fill us with His presence.

The Bible speaks of the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. In Acts 2:2-4, it says, “And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” This passage speaks of the power of the Holy Spirit to fill us with His presence and to give us the words to speak.

The song “Breathe On Us” is a reminder to us to open our hearts and minds to the presence of the Holy Spirit. We can lift up our hands and shout that the Lord is with us now, and we can lift up our voices and sing that He is holy. As we open ourselves up to the presence of the Holy Spirit, we can be filled with His power and love.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We ask that You would fill us with Your presence and breathe on us. Help us to open our hearts and minds to You and to be filled with Your power and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
